I’m delighted to share that my photograph White Rabbit (unmasked) was featured on the cover of Issue 54 of The HAND Magazine, a publication dedicated to alternative photographic processes and printmaking.
Created using gum bichromate over cyanotype, the photograph brings together two important aspects of my artistic practice: my longstanding interest in historical photographic processes and my exploration of memory, mythology, and the subconscious.
Part of my ongoing White Rabbit series, begun in 2017, the image explores the space between the familiar and the uncanny, where fairy-tale archetypes intersect with contemporary experience.
This publication also marks a fitting moment to return to The Gum Bichromate Journal. While the journal originally focused on technical experimentation and alternative photographic processes, I hope to broaden its scope to include the ideas, research, and creative experiences that inform my work.
I’m looking forward to sharing more from the studio, both the processes behind the photographs and the stories that inspire them.
